The Covid-19 outbreak at Real Madrid is on the rise after two new cases as confirmed by the club. The Spanish La Liga leaders stated that utility player David Alaba and playmaker Isco are the latest players to return a positive test for the virus. The two players are the latest additions to the list which include Gareth Bale and five others.
The news concerning Alaba and Isco means that eight Real Madrid players have now tested positive for the aforementioned virus. None of the players will be in the Real Madrid squad for the Athletic Bilbao game on Wednesday as far as the Spanish La Liga is concerned. To this effect, Welsh football icon Gareth Bale won’t be in the Madrid squad for the league trip to the San Mames. Real Madrid would be hoping to get back to winning ways after they were forced to a goalless draw by Cadiz in their league outing at the weekend.
Real Madrid have a lot of absentees for the Bilbao game just like what’s obtainable with their hosts. It has been established that the La Liga leaders will be missing eight players for the game, while the home team will miss the services of four of their players including the Spanish senior national team duo of Inigo Martinez and Unai Simon.
